Leave me a love letter
If you so feel compelled, leave a comment praising me for something. I know it might seem vain, but hey, I am a little vain. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone had a page like this? Chances are if there’s something about me that you love or enjoy, there’s something about you that I also love. So leave me a love letter and set up a love-letter page on your blog. It’ll be great!

James,
The invitation is irresistible. But there is so much to praise you for, it’s hard to know where to begin. We’ll start with this website–it looks great, it’s user-friendly and modest in its way, it invites love letters from readers (why didn’t I think of that?) and it seduces us with its ease of navigation. No capitals, though. Style or sloppiness? Unclear. All of this could be said of you as well! You are good at navigation. You stay away from capitals, though. Is your general affect more characterized by style or sloppiness? Unclear.
There, I think that’s enough for now.
Love,
Maddy

Dear, dear James,
Your warm welcome to FW and Kyoto has taken so many forms! You watch Kurasawa films and talk about (northern) California with our hippie prof. You wax philisophical in pasta shops (alternated with brief spurts of incredibly politically incorrect statements) and wait for me when I ride my bike like an old, old lady. And when you dance, you evoke images textured like dijon mustard on grapes. And since your endless possibilities after FW can take you in so many directions, I highly recommending pursing graduate school, just so I can call you Dr. Doolittle someday.
love, yukiko
